Cards and Copics

This is the mother's day card I made for Chris' mom. I used Papertrey's Scarlet Jewel and Ocean Tides paper; Scarlet Jewel ribbon; and complementary copic marker colors, and stamped the images (from PTI's Vintage Picnic) with PTI's True Black ink before distressing the edges. I used the "happy birthday" senitment from the same set on the inside in Scarlet Jewel.

I wanted to test the difference between the copic markers and the la plumb (sp?). The above image is what my sister colored using the other markers.

And of course, this is what I colored using the copics. What a difference! I seriously don't think I'll ever go back to regular markers again... unless of course, I'm coloring with my son lol. :D

Pink, Red, and Butterflies

The first picture is from the baby album. I created a page for each month, with a 2-page layout for 1 and 12 months, including a 2-page layout for "our new arrival" with a spot to add "date, time, place, weight, and length." The second pic is the thank you card. I know, it's not completely perfect, but making 50 of them, you get to a point where you really don't care if the paper is a little bit off.
{Baby Album}
Paper- Brizilla Pink; White; PTI Pure Poppy
Ink- ?
Stamps- PTI Butterfly Kisses
{Baby Shower Thank You Card}
Paper- PTI Sweet Blush, Spring Moss, and Pure Poppy
Ink- ?
Stamps- PTI Butterfly Kisses, Polka Dot Basics
*Please forgive me for not knowing the brand of ink, I'll fix this post when I'm able to add in that information.

picture quailty

looking back on the picture of the sleeping beauty card, i realized how excited i am that i bought a new camera a few weeks ago, and can't wait to show off my cards with it. that pic was taken with my cell phone, so in a way.. it's really not that bad considering the method used... but still, it's not as good as it could be.. as my other stuff will be :D

bday card

this is the birthday card i made for my niece a few months back. i used the disney princess clear stamp set and simply colored in Sleeping Beauty using color pencils. the set came with the small butterfly stamp that i used for the background of the card. the saying is a stamp from Hero Arts. the best part about the card is when Sarah (4) opened it, she exclaimed "Sleeping Beauty!" :D

so much time, so little to do...

wait, scratch that.. reverse it.

this is like my 3rd attempt at setting my blog up, and i still don't completely like it... but it'll have to do for now.

i've got a ton of pictures to upload of current cards and projects i've been working on, and i really hope i can get everything up and working real soon. but it looks like everything will have to be in a new post cuz it keeps putting the pictures before everything else.. ugh..
